GermanyxReader: One Night Left

  "This is all my fault," You cried out quietly, laying on top of the limp body that lay on the hospital bed,"If I wasn't so stupid...I'm sorry Germany."

  About a week ago, you and him had gone out to do last-minute Christmas shopping. While lost in a conversation, you had failed to realize a car comming at you. Germany had pushed you out of the way and saved your life.

  Sadly, tonight was Christmas Eve and he hadn't awaken yet. You remember the terrible scene that stood before you not so long ago and shuddered a bit.

  Gripping onto his hand tightly, you rested your forehead on it,"G-Germany...you have to wake up. I'd never forgive you if you d-died..." Choking on the thought of him dying, you let out another helpless sob.

  "I-I never told you," Your face grew red and you (e/c) eyes brimmed with tears,"It's this stupid thing. I call it a burden. Anyone else would call it...love."

  Yes, you loved your best friend with all your God-given heart. This feeling inside you only tore you into more pieces. You felt it was your stupidity that caused his suffering.

  You gripped his hand tightly once more and leaned over it, shutting your eyes and letting your tears hit it,"Please God. Don't take my best friend from me." You sobbed,"It's my fault! He saved my life...don't take his."

  You don't know how long you sat there crying. You had come with Prussia and Austria awhile before but they seemed to have vanished. This was the first time you had actually seen him since the accident and for the first time in a week, you felt the full impact.

  It's not like you hadn't felt bad before today, but you finally faced him once more; he looked weak, he was unmoving and pale. That's what caused tears to your eyes.

  So for hours, you just sat there crying; people passing by would look in and hold pitty towards you. And eventually, you felt your conciousness slip away and your mind seemed to rest easily, falling asleep with your cheeck on his hand.

  Waking up in a daze, Germany just looked around the room. It was dull and grey all around him. He noticed the window to the left of him showed the sun arising over the buildings.

  He tried sitting up but upon moving his right hand, he noticed your face placed on top of it. For a few minutes, he just sat there, stairing at your messy (h/c) head with his crystal blue eyes.

  Slowly, he took the other hand and stroked your hair as gently as he possibly could,'Zhat's right,' He thought, playing with a (h/c) strand,'At least she's okay.'

  He would never admit, but he felt more worried about your well being than his own, and when he noticed that your life was in danger, he simply threw his life on the line for you.

  Looking more over to the right, he noticed his brother and Austria sleeping on the chairs beside him. Prussia was leaning his head on Austria and Austria held his head to it. 'I can't vait to see zhat.'

  Your head rolled over a bit, still lazy with sleep. Noticing this, Germany shut his eyes once more. The reason why is still unclear.

  Opening you (e/c) eyes to look over at him, your eyes shone a bit with tears once more. Getting yourself off the floor was hard for your body was stiff from sleeping in a kneeling position all night.

  You sat yourself next to Germany and placing his hand on your leg. You swore you felt him twitch alittle but you found it highly unlikely.

  "So, you're still sleeping, huh?" You said as a tear rolled down your face,"Are you mad at me?"

  Upon hearing this, Germany quickly reacted by grabbing your arm and pulling you to embrace. It was so sudden, you had no reacton whatsoever.

  He held a tight grip on you,"Don't say zhat ________. I could never hate you."

  You felt like you couldn't breath. What had just happened? He was unconcious one second ago but now he held you and talking back at you.

  You pressed your face to his chest and started sobbing gently,"Why did you do that...? You almost died...I...I...I don't know what I would've done."

  He pressed your forehead closer to his chest with barely any power,"Look, I'm fine. Please don't vork yourself over mein idioticy. I wouldn't have been able to live vith meinself if I saw you get killed in front of me knowing I could've done somezing to save you."

  "But it was all my fault!" You protested,"If I hadn't walked onto the road so blindly, you wouldn't have had to save me!"

  "Mein liebling, don't blame yourself." His grip on you tightened,"I'm alive. I'll be on mein feet in no time."

  You gripped onto the cloths he wore and burried your face in tears,"Don't act so stupid...please...I...I can bare it to see you look so...so..."

  "So human?" He finished for you.

  You nodded,"You're not superman...don't go running around like you are..."

  You felt his grip loosen up and his hand pressed against your cheeck. He pulled your face to look up into his blue eyes which held such seriousness in them,"I promise."

  He pulled your face up to his and you full caught sight of the proof; his eyes looked at you so caringly, so seriously, so concerned.

  The next this you knew, you two had pressed your lips up together in a passionate kiss. Your mind buzzed with all there thoughts before you let it go blank and melt in the sweet kiss.

  "What the hell are you doing Austria!?" A sudden yelp of protest broke both of you apart in a heartbeat. Both of you looked over with questionable expressions to see Prussia and Austria with scared faces.

  Looking up, you noticed Germany trying to hide a smile,"Did I miss something?" You asked confused, glaring at him with confused (e/c) eyes.

  "Did you miss something?!" Prussia yelled from behind,"West, what the he'll are you doing to poor _______! I didn't know you were like that!"

  Giving off completly embaressed looks, you noticed you were still in his arms and pretty close to his face.

  Quickly, you threw yourself off of him and burried your face in your hands,"P-P-Prussia!" Protesting against him,"Y-You should be more worried that your brother is okay! H-He wouldn't try doing that to me! Pervert!"

  "Besides," You heard Germany say from beside you,"I vast zhe one sleeping next to mein liebling and holding her head next to me."

  "Damnit West! Me and Austria hate each other!"

  "Y-You should know that by now." Austria protested, making his presence noticable.

  "I TOLD you we drank too much!"

  Laughing, you pointed a both of them,"You two should stop complaining and drink more!"

  "I swear you are as bad as Hungary!" The both yelled in unision. You laughed and hold your hands up in defence.

  Prussia gave a sly look and you notices Germany put his arm in front of you a bit defensivly,"So _______, I heard you say something intersting last night."

  You knew what he ment. Shooting him a dark glance, you groweled,"I swear, you say anything-"

  "I call it a burden," He mocked you, shooting a satisfied look,"Anyone else would call it love~" He started laughing,"You totally have it in for my poor bruder."

  You really didn't aknowlegde the fact that Germany knew,"Where the hell did you hear that!?"

  "They're your corny words!" Prussia laughed,"I was listening behind the curtain!"

  "You know," Shooting him a glance back,"There's a bed back there...were you and Austria..." You gave him a suggestive look.

  Both their faces grew as red as Spain's tomatos but while enjoying the moment, you felt a hand slip onto your shoulder. You noticed Germany smiling at you and you leaned back into his arms.

  Looking up at him, you smiled back at him while pushing your (h/c) hair out of your face,"Merry Christmas."

  "V-vait, today is-?!" But before he could finish, you pressed your lips against his again.
